I want you to be infected with the “I Can DO Better” mentality. I want you to wrap your brain around the FACT that what little you and I do will never be enough to thank the Lord for all He’s done for us—but we all can DO better. We all can serve Him better or start serving Him if we haven’t been. We all can share our testimony of how He’s brought us a mighty long way or how He’s allowed our little ol’ lights to shine in the company of others. I Can DO Better….BUT You Can DO Better Too.

Simple things like: (1) Praying before you eat (2) Praying when you wake up and lay down at night (3) attending church at least once a month or every Sunday (4) give just because you can give–of your time/your money/your services (5) acknowledge Christ during your day by smiling, taking the time to showforth compassion on others and listening to Godly music in your automobile/home (6) sharing the gospel with others and (7) choose NOT to be critical or to criticize. Let’s face it, it’s easy to see wrong but it takes someone willing to do and be better to be positive. Positivity is FAITH at WORK!

So I’m asking you to take a moment and Choose to DO Better for Christ. I’ve made the choice today. Will You?

You read correctly, there is a question mark at the end. Good news of the gospel? What’ so good about gospel news? This question was asked of me by a fellow Christian that says God has been dealing with her concerning the Gospel. As she proceeded to inform me of the Holy Spirit’s hightened enlightenment of this, I couldn’t help but lend an ear to what He was saying to me as she spoke. I was reminded of how during the writing of my book, Is Your Ghost Holy?, I had to accept the simple revelation of the gospel. The Holy Spirit, as I instructed her, impressed upon me that the simple revelation of the gospel is that from Genesis to Revelation, the WORD–the GOSPEL is good all by itself. In addition, the gospel brings light to dark places, transforms lives and brings life. Most do not comprehend the gospel, because they are still in darkness. The Word of God is not life to them nor does it trasform because they neglect the initial SIMPLE step of accepting Christ. Jesus said, no man can come to the Father except first through by me. Most people, including some Christians, desire holiness without Christ, righteousness without Christ and fullness of life without the One who paid the price.

My friend then with even more questions asked why this is still true and has been true for years. She wanted to know how with all of the preachers and teachers of today, are people still dull of hearing. I simply responded, the good gospel tells us that these as the times when men and women will not endure sound doctrine. I went a step further and  made my answer more personal. I was in church, listening to the preachers and teachers of the day, and still did not have revelation about the gospel. I still had not surrendered and I still did not seek His wisdom concerning my life, therefore I lived in darkness and existed outside of the fullness of Christ. It was for me back then, as it is for many today—not in God’s timing. Which Christians need to realize means, not yet instead of never going to happen.

We cannot rush the work of God in the life of others. We cannot judge unless we fall into the same temptation. The good news of the gospel is not a question to be asked, it’s a statement to remind us that Christ, and Christ alone, died for us. Because of this fact, we are to be concerned that others know Him, accept Him and pray they soon walk in the Fullness of Him.

Blessings….
