Are you one of those people that desires a better life but feel the world and everyone in it are working against you? Do you suffer dissappointment from setbacks and past failures. I recognize your present state. I was once you. I lost my beloved grandmother, my son and had to leave my profession due to a life threatening illness. But I learned valuable principles during those times that have helped shape who I am today. From my grandmothers death, I learned to live life with no excuses and never take for granted TODAY! When I lost my son at eight months (Devon), I learned to trust even more that God knows best and even when I don’t understand Him, His plans for my life are centered around His love for me. And last, when I had to resign from my career as an educator/administrator, I learned what “I Do,” does not define who “I Am.”
To assist you in facing life’s challenges and using them to shape your life, I’ve spelled out the following steps:
- take responsibility for your own life and stop throwing yourself a pity party
- make a decision to “get through” life’s challenges
- change your thinking about rejection/failure and look at it as an opportunity to improve and try again
- forgive yourself and forgive others—-NO BUTS, just do it!!!
- don’t compromise WHO you are for WHAT you want….always stay true to yourself
- surround yourself with positive people and be that person to others
Blessings
