Everything is GOOD about GOOD FRIDAY! He is the reason each day is a GOOD day, the reason every moment is a blessing and HE is the reason for each passing season. Thank God for Jesus, thank God for our King and thank God He Yet Lives! Good Friday is NOT a holiday, it is another opportunity to Thank God for His Son and our Saviour Jesus Christ.

I serve a God that loves His children so much He sees beyond faults and flaws, creed and religion, nationality and race. I serve a God that can make crooked places straight and straight places bumpy. I serve a God who reminds me daily not to forget what really matters.

God loves us all. And by all He means ALL. And I serve a God who Hates Sin and by sin He means ALL Sin! 

It does not matter how long we’ve been saved, how holy our wardrobe is nor how many scriptures we can quote without looking at the Bible….what matters most is the LIFE we LIVE daily. And if we’re honest with ourselves, and I mean really honest; we’d only have time to thank Him for Calvary knowing we ourselves were worthy of death. I mean think about it, how can we serve a God that saves, forgives and blesses us and then have the NERVE to say who He can and can’t do the same thing for??? Humans can be so funny sometimes and I’m glad my God has a sense of humor. :)  

Yes, I serve an INCLUSIVE God. My God is able to save “WHOSOEVER” including— murderers, thieves, lesbians, addicts, drunks, fornicators, idol worshippers, abusers, backbiters, abortionists and anyone else HE CHOOSES TO HAVE MERCY ON. So what matters isn’t what we think about ourselves or each other, what matters is how we serve and represent the ONE who makes it possible for us to display His saving power to others. IF He had enough POWER to save YOU and I from our many of sins, He has enough POWER to save others! Period.

Don’t decieve yourself into thinking you’ve been saved all of your life. We are still a work in progress which means GOD IS NOT THROUGH WITH US YET! So don’t forget what really matters….and I hope this post reminds you of what the Good Lord reminded me of today: “You don’t have a Heaven or a Hell to put anyone in, so pray others receive my Grace and Mercy through Salvation b/c in the end, that is ALL THAT REALLY MATTERS.”

I know you feel like throwing up your hands right now and giving up. The world has found a resting place on your shoulders, your job and your immediate family situation seems bleek. Maybe you’re feeling trapped or simply frustrated. Well, God’s word says you don’t have to stay there. Amist everything going on and in the highlight of such a joyous season, you must learn that hopelessness doesn’t come from the cares of the world weighing down on you nor ill-present circumstances. No, hopelessness comes from being too far from the Master. Re-examining your plight should make you draw closer to Him, the only One able to UPROOT HOPELESSNESS. The Apostle Paul said, “According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed….” Philippians 1:20–Hope comes from seeing things through the eyes of faith KNOWING all things work together for your good.

I haven’t blogged in awhile but I must reassure you today that I’m FULL of earnest expectation and hope not only for my life and the situation of my family members, but for you and yours. Shake off hopelessness and wear a smile even when the image doesn’t fit the mood. God uprooted hopelessness based on HIS promises to YOU and not what you’re going through. If you need hope this day, repent from doing things your way and ask God to renew the right Spirit within you for all things are possible to him that believe.

Some of us can spend 2-5 hours in Church and only pray for 5-10 minutes. Some can sit at home all day long and the only form of prayer in the 24 Hour period is a one second “Lord, I Thank You.” Luke Chapter 11 and 18 teaches us that our prayers should not be customary or religious. He desires for US to be strong in our resolve to pray, for the fervent prayers of the righteous avail much. Which means having a prayer life that moves beyond US simply praying for one another but into the realm of P.U.S.H. (praying until something happens).

 Even when the enemy is busy,I PRAY that we don’t faint. Even when finances are low, I PRAY that we don’t faint. Even when sickness is all around, I PRAY that we don’t faint. Death of loved ones, Brokenhearted or Disappointed….PRAY and DON’T FAINT!! We are to be persistent in prayer, persistent in supplication making sure our patience and perserverance don’t give out before Christ’s return. Romans 8:26-27 “Likewise the Spirit also helps our infirmities (weaknesses): for we know not what we should pray for as we out: but the Spirit itself makes intercession for US with groanings which cannot be uttered….because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.” We pray because our innermost feelings cannot be put into words but the OMNISCIENT ONE knows and because we ACTIVELY PRAY and have a PRAYING LIFESTYLE, God is working all things for the good of those who love Him.

So my prayer always for US is that we set down the weights of sin that so easily beset US and separates US from the Love of God. That the tactics of the prince of this world bow down to the power of our God and release US to walk in Liberty displaying the fruits of our righteousness. Hear US today Lord as we pray and lift up your name above all others proclaiming your Goodness, Righteousness, Grace and Mercy. We shout Halleluyah to the Lord of All from our insides and Thank You for giving US the Victory this Day. We shall not complain. We shall not doubt and We shall TRUST always in your Holy Word. To God Be the Glory and Honor Forever and Ever Amen!

During such time mere words are empty but a word of wisdom packs an ability to move you or prepare you for the right path. When you seek the answer from God, He is just to provide instruction in two ways: (1) through the “gift” of the word of wisdom or (2) it may come because the power of the Holy Spirit is upon you. Either way, a word of wisdom is vital to your walk in the will of God. You can hear someone tell you the right thing to do all day but if that word isn’t TRUTH, you will dismiss it. Why? Because what is right in man’s eye today will be wrong tomorrow. Unless God sends a word of wisdom at the appointed time, you and I will continue to struggle with difficult choices. One word is sufficient in Christ Jesus. All it takes is one word of wisdom to bring forth what God desires in your life. One word of wisdom to make you stand firm on the TRUTH of God. I believe, because I have experience, that one wise word has impact everlasting and an unwise word has caused many to stray. God is not the God of doubt or fear. Stand still until you are at peace, then and only then will you know He has spoken a word of wisdom to your spirit so that you can move forward “rightly dividing the word of truth.” (2 Timothy 2:15)

If you’ve never heard it, you should google it or youtube it. It talks about love gone wrong but their is another message I heard while listening today. I’m a HUGE fan of anything ol’skool and love related–my husband calls me a big hopeless and helpless romantic :)

Anyway, I heard a message that speaks to many people on many levels. The message of situations and life circumstances that hurt so bad the only way you can describe them is by saying, “it hurts like hell.” That hurt goes beyond just feeling hurt. It’s the type of pain that wakes up with you in the morning and beside you at night. It could be the loss of a great lover, the loss of a child or family member. It could be an unrealized dream or a shattered desire. The common thread is that we’ve all at some point experienced such unexplainable pain.

I’m not typing to win you over with the words of Christ nor am I writing to say put all your trust in the Lord. Though you already know He’s the answer. I’m writing to remind you that hurt knocks at everyone’s door in life. I’m writing to remind you that it’s a process we must all go through which highlights the greatest hope their is in life that promises to take all of this world’s pain away, even the kind that hurts like hell. Let the tears fall. Let the pain have its place for the day. But don’t let it live there. Hurt should not live there every day.

Aretha goes on to sing, ” sometimes it hurts to bad to laugh,” but sometimes it hurts even when you’re laughing—that’s the hell. Believe that even in hurt their is purpose. Believe that suffering in this world cannot compare with the glory in the next. This life shall end, but eternal life is forever. When it hurts like hell be thankful that’s as close to it as you’ll ever get and give thanks for the Cross.

Maybe you’ve spent the last three, four or ten years trying to figure out why the enemy keeps pulling you down when you’re on your way up. Or maybe just maybe, you chose to stop trying because you’re fed up with landing in the same spot year after year. With all of that, maybe still isn’t good enough.

That enemy you keep referring to may need to take a long look in the mirror at the real silent killer. YOU cannot expect to move forward with those types of thoughts tripping you up from day to day. Yes, Satan will take the credit for nothing if you keep honoring him with your lack of drive, stick-to-it’ness and motivation. In this world we are all continually striving to get it right and make it in. Don’t let those silent thoughts cripple you from enjoying the best life you can have right here on earth, right now. It’s not only what you should do, but as a child of God, it’s what you’ve been told to do. Fight the good fight of faith, right here on earth and thank God for eveything that comes your way as a learning opportunity.

Silent Killers have sent many people to an early grave physically and spiritually. Don’t be the next victim. Get up and Fight back with the Word of God and Look around at others like myself, cheering you on!

All around us we are presented with various foundations like cement, concrete, brick and morter structures and the like. But the Lord wanted to impress upon us that these foundations shall pass away. In the beginning, founding fathers used words as a basis for the foundation of this great nation. And in the beginning was the WORD spoken by God that all things now are evident and attest to the Foundation of the World, Jesus Christ. When we make the declaration that Christ is Lord, it defines for the world WHO our foundation is not what it is. The chief cornerstone in Isaiah 28 is the ROCK of our salvation. Be careful not to build on hay, straw or sinking sand. In other words, don’t rely on your employment, material riches or man. It is written that man shall not live by bread alone but by every WORD that precedeth out of the mouth. Your words declare your foundation, make sure they glorify and edify Christ–The SOLID ROCK on which you stand.

Love and happiness is about fact and opinion. It is a fact that God is love. When someone defines happiness, it is their opinion of what happiness is. It is very important to distinguish between the two. Love nailed Jesus to the cross. Love snatched to keys from Satan. Love knows no evil. And love endures all things. Happiness changes from day to day. Happiness is selfish. Happiness is manipulative and happiness fades in and out. When you want to know what love is, look in the mirror. Through the eyes of faith you should see the righteousness of God. By the Spirit of God, you should hear joybells ringing in your soul. From your lips you should taste the sweetness of His grace and mercy. Your hands should be able to touch the hem of His garment for healing and restoration. And your nose should inhale His awesome anointing—this is the love that passes all understanding. And this is the Love that will MAKE you do right, even when wrong is present.

But what many miss in this text is that Jesus knew, “it was not time for figs, yet.”  So why did He look for figs knowing it wasn’t their season?

It is important to note here that the fig tree is an Old Testament symbol for Israel. And Jesus being the all-knowing one was using the “unproductive” tree as a teaching tool for His disciples. What was He teaching you ask? As you read on down in Mark 11, you’ll find Jesus expounding on faith, prayer and forgiveness. Jesus wanted us to be mindful of the curse only as a memorial for the days of old when Israel was unproductive. Today, the church must be fruitful in faith, prayer and forgiveness. We cannot just be pretty leaves flowing in the wind as hungry people pass by wondering, “Are you good….for nothing?”
